Pack the room on March 28 to say no to SB 1040 and to protest a decade of bathroom bills.
Tomorrow, the House Education Committee will vote on SB 1040, an anti-trans school bathroom ban. It’s been ten years to the week since Senator Kavanagh introduced his first anti-trans bathroom ban, kickstarting the wave of anti-trans legislation that has swept the country over the past decade, and it’s past time to shut it down. Turn out on Tuesday at 2 PM to pack the room with us!
Where to Go:
House Hearing Room 4, the Arizona Capitol 1700 W Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85007
What to Do:
Sign in on Request to Speak to show your opposition to the bill in advance of tomorrow’s committee meeting. On Tuesday, we’re asking the community to show support for trans students and educators by sitting peacefully in the hearing room. Signs will not be allowed in, and we are encouraging everyone present to follow the rules of decorum, in order to keep the focus on the testimony of directly affected individuals.

Far right extremism is on the rise in our local school districts — targeting minority students, teachers, administrators, and school board members — and it thrives on misinformation and a lack of accountability. We’re building a program to track this phenomenon and to tell the real story of education in Arizona. Can’t attend the meeting in person? Call in through our Discord instead!
