Non-Discrimination in Scottsdale and Mesa
Mesa's non-discrimination ordinance needs your support
Keep Mesa Open
“United for Mesa” a committee supported by the anti-LGTBQ organization Center for Arizona Policy, have begun the process of collecting signatures in an attempt to overturn Mesa’s non-discrimination ordinance by referring it to the ballot for a citizen vote. They have until the end of March.
Our goal is to counter this attempt with a “decline to sign” effort to prevent the ordinance from ever going on the ballot. But in order to get our message out, we need resources to create positive videos and digital content, canvass, make phone calls and more.
We need to raise $15,000 in the next two weeks. Your contribution will help to preserve the non-discrimination ordinance and keep Mesa open to everyone.
United Mesa Fire Fighters Local 2260 have put together a message in support of the non-discrimination ordinance. We invite you to watch and share it. And if you want to record your own message of support, please upload it here.
Scottsdale advances it’s own NDO
On March 23rd, Scottsdale City Council will meet for a work study session on a new LGBTQ+ inclusive non-discrimination ordinance. You’ll be able to watch the meeting live starting at 4:00 PM on the Channel 11 live stream, and we encourage you to submit written comment in support of the ordinance ahead of time.
