Let’s Go!! Ballot Time, Queers.
There’s just 11 days left until Election Day. Make sure to mail your ballot back today!
It’s October 28, which means that if you want to vote by mail and aren’t on the active early voting list, today is your last chance to request a ballot-by-mail. And if you already have your ballot, make sure to mail it back before November 1.
With just 11 days to go until November 8, early voting is in full swing for the midterm elections, and for voters in Arizona, there’s a lot at stake this year. With several key moderates leaving the state legislature, we’re guaranteed to see yet another dramatic escalation of hateful legislation threatening LGBTQ+ rights and targeting transgender kids, unless we’re able to shift the balance of at least one chamber of the legislature or elect an LGBTQ+ ally to the Governor’s office. The outcome of our Senate race could shift the balance of the Federal government, and if an election denier wins the Secretary of State race, we’ll enter the 2024 election with no guarantee of true democracy in Arizona.
It’s bleak, but the margins are razor thin, and your vote can make the difference. Over the past months, we’ve prepared a few different guides to help you make the most of your vote. From parsing this year’s 10 ballot measures, to weighing in on judicial retention questions, to voting in competitive districts and even just understanding what each office on the ballot is responsible for, we’ve tried to provide you with all the information you might need to vote your values.
