Don't Forget to Vote Tomorrow!
Make a plan to vote before the August 2 primary elections in Arizona
What’s at Stake This Year
Midterm elections perennially suffer from low voter turnout, but with critical statewide seats — including the Governor and Secretary of State —on the ballot, alongside the entire state legislature, the stakes couldn’t be higher this year. If we want to have any chance to push back on anti-LGBTQ+ bills in the next legislative session, to protect bodily autonomy, or to maintain the integrity of our electoral system, we need to elect leaders who will listen to our concerns and be champions our rights.
All of this starts with the primary elections tomorrow, August 2. Across the state, and across party lines, voters will make critical decisions about which candidates advance to the general election. In many cases, those candidates will be all-but-guaranteed to win in November. Even in races with closer margins, the choice voters make between primary candidates can be profound. Where to Vote Tomorrow
Voting on Election Day can be complicated, so make sure to plan out when and where you’ll vote ahead of time. On the statewide website from the Secretary of State’s office, you can search for a polling place close to your address. If you live in Maricopa County, you can use the county’s search tool to find a polling place or ballot dropbox.
Already have your ballot? You can use one of those dropboxes tomorrow to skip the lines and save time!
Independents Can Vote Too!
Primary elections have partisan ballots, but if you’re one of Arizona’s 1.4 million plus Independent voters, that doesn’t mean you can’t vote tomorrow. As an Independent, you can request a ballot for the party of your choice when you go to the polls tomorrow. Your vote can make the difference, so make sure to research your district and decide which party primary you want to participate in tomorrow.
