The Equality Act was reintroduced today in the House of Representatives by Rep. David Cicilline. If passed, it would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prohibit discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity. The bill has been flagged as a key priority by leadership in the House and Senate, and has the support of President Biden.
